Space in Frames is becoming a non-profit project
I want to share something important. Over the past few months, while developing Space in Frames, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how this project should grow. Not only in terms of content, but more in terms of structure, values, and long-term sustainability.
After careful thought, I decided to take a new step: I’ve just submitted the registration for a non-profit organization called SYNTERVAL, which will host Space in Frames as its first project.
Why a non-profit?
Initially, Space in Frames was just an idea, a way to explore the intersection of space and art, two areas that have shaped my life in different but equally meaningful ways. I started a blog, connected with people, ran a survey, and realized that this project resonates with many individuals especially those working in space, science, and education, who are curious about how creativity can complement technical thinking.
As I thought about the next steps, I understood that Space in Frames is not just a creative venture, it’s a mission. A mission to inspire, educate, and connect people through art and space. And the best way to serve that mission is through a non-profit framework.
This will allow us to focus on cultural and educational activities, to make content accessible, and to seek funding not only through community support but also through grants and partnerships. It’s a structure that puts purpose first.
Why SYNTERVAL?
The name SYNTERVAL combines several layers of meaning:
– SYN – synergy, synthesis, collaboration
– TER – terra, foundation, groundedness
– VAL – value, meaning
– And INTERVAL – the space between two worlds
To me, this represents the space where creativity and science meet, a place of connection, discovery, and mutual enrichment. SYNTERVAL is a home for interdisciplinary projects that live in this “in-between space” and seek to create value through it.
What’s next?
Space in Frames will continue to grow — now as the first initiative of SYNTERVAL. Our goals for the coming months are:
– Build a website that will host content, interviews, and events.
– Organize initial webinars and outreach activities.
– Start growing a global community of people interested in space, creativity, and shared exploration.
To support these first steps, we’ll soon launch a small crowdfunding campaign. Your support will help us get off the ground and afterward, we’ll apply for grants to expand and sustain the project in the long term.
Want to get involved?
As we start this new chapter, I’d love to invite anyone who shares our mission to contribute in any way that feels meaningful.
If you’re an artist, educator, scientist, space enthusiast, or just someone who believes in the power of creativity — let’s connect.
Whether it’s sharing ideas, collaborating on events, or simply spreading the word, your input and energy can help shape this project. Feel free to reach out — I’d be happy to hear from you.
